Terms of Use

1. What Mami Coker Is

Mami Coker is a website that helps people in Freetown, Sierra Leone find local service providers — plumbers, electricians, tailors, tutors and more — and contact them on WhatsApp. We show provider profiles and help you reach them. That is all we do.

We are not a party to any agreement between a seeker and a provider. We are not a provider's employer, agent or broker, and we do not supply the services ourselves.

2. Who Can Use It

Mami Coker is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it.

3. If You Are Looking for a Service (a Seeker)

• You don't need an account. You contact providers yourself, on WhatsApp.
• You agree the work, the price and the timing directly with the provider. Mami Coker does not take bookings, hold deposits, handle payments or give refunds.
• Take sensible precautions: agree the price before work starts, be careful about paying in full in advance, and be cautious about meeting someone you don't know, especially alone or somewhere private.
• Treat providers with respect, as set out in our Code of Conduct.

4. If You Offer a Service (a Provider)

• To list a service you register with your phone number and confirm it with a one-time code sent to your WhatsApp. You need to keep control of that number. We may open or close new registrations at any time, for example before launch.
• Give true, current information: your name, what you do, your neighborhood, and your prices if you show them. Only claim what you can really do.
• You are responsible for anything the law requires of you to offer your service, such as licences, permits, insurance and taxes. We don't check these.
• Your profile is public. Anyone who visits the site can see it, and your phone number is embedded in the "Contact on WhatsApp" button. Our Privacy Policy explains more.
• A listing lasts 30 days and stops appearing publicly after that unless you renew it. Keep your Available or Busy status accurate.
• Only upload photos of your own work, or photos you have permission to use.
• You can stop using Mami Coker at any time. To have your profile removed, email info@mamicoker.com.

5. What We Do Not Do

• We do not guarantee the quality, safety, price or timing of any work, or that any provider will reply.
• Unless a profile shows a verification label, it has only been confirmed by phone number. That is not an endorsement. Our Verification Policy explains what each level would and would not mean.
• We do not supervise the work, settle payment disputes, or act as a judge between a seeker and a provider. Our Complaints Policy explains what we can and cannot do.

6. Your Content

You keep ownership of what you post, such as your profile text, listings and photos. You give Mami Coker permission to show that content on the site, and in previews when a link is shared, for as long as your profile is live. You promise that you have the right to post it and that it does not break the law or anyone else's rights. We may remove content under our Moderation Policy.

7. Acting Fairly

Everyone using Mami Coker must follow our Code of Conduct. If someone does not, we may take action as described in our Moderation Policy, including removing content or a profile.

8. Complaints

If something goes wrong, tell us. Our Complaints Policy explains how.

9. Cost

Mami Coker is currently free to use. If we introduce paid plans in future, we will tell you before anything is charged, and you will never be charged for something you have not agreed to.

10. The Service as It Is

We work to keep Mami Coker available and accurate, but we cannot promise that it always will be. It may be slow, unavailable, or contain mistakes. We may change, pause or end any part of it.

11. Limits on Our Responsibility

Mami Coker is a way to find and contact people. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from dealings between seekers and providers, including poor, late or unfinished work, damage, injury, or money paid to someone. Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that the law does not allow us to limit.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above. If we make an important change, we'll say so on the site. Using Mami Coker after a change means you accept it.

13. Which Law Applies

These terms are governed by the laws of Sierra Leone.
